July was an indoor kind of month for me. Partly due to pain and fatigue, and partly because of unbearable heat. I’m hoping to get back to my (slow) walking routine in August and I’m challenging myself to do just that.
I love to walk, especially in the woods and I’m lucky I live close to nature. I also find that just taking a short walk makes me feel better about myself and my body, and the frustration of being in pain and fatigue is somewhat lessened.
If you want to join me, the ‘rules’ are simple.
- Decide how many days a week you want to walk
- Decide how far you want to walk
- Optional: Share pictures from your walks on Instagram or Twitter with and use #spooniewalk
(I love looking at pictures from my walks on days when I’m stuck in bed.)Remember: Don’t push too hard. We don’t want to end up in bed for days on end.
I’ll aim for
- Walking 5 days a week
- 10 minutes (which is to the top of the street and back)
